1 Logan Place, Kensington, England

Today I went for a walk. After coming out of the first class of my Ethics Seminar I felt completely bogged down with what was being expected of us for the semester, and I really needed something to lift my spirits. I went out when other people were in class or busy doing other things, and I ran to the store for a few food items and on the way I made a special trip to one of the coolest things I've seen yet... 1 Logan Place. Just a short twenty minute walk from our flat is the residence in which Freddie Mercury lived and died. It was incredible to be standing in front of and touching the door that Freddie Mercury walked through each day as he slowly died in Kensington. Although they repaint the door and wash the brickwork, fans continue to write their messages to Freddie.

  1. So....do these morons think Mercury is going to rise from the dead and bop on down to Logan and read the graffiti? HE'S DEAD, folks! Gone!!! Get over it!

  2. You could argue the same for anyone who visits a grave. It gives people comfort. Since Freddie doesn't have a grave (he was cremated and his ashes scattered in secret as per his request) this is the only place fans feel they can leave their tributes. I agree it must be annoying for people living nearby though.
